Ingredients

2 cups of white flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

50 g butter

100 g grated cheddar cheese

1 cup of milk

Directions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.
  2. Rub the butter into the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix in the cheese and 1/2 the milk until a dough starts to form.
  4. Gradually add the remaining milk until a stiff dough is formed.
  5. Tip the mixture onto a lightly floured board and form a tube shape with the dough
  6. Cut into 12 pieces
  7. Bake in a hot over (200 degrees Celsius) until golden brown.
  8. Serve with butter or jam.
